Do standing desks use a lot of electricity?

No. The average use of electricity for an electric Standing Desk is 150–200 watts to adjust the desk’s height, while on standby, it uses approx. 0.1 watts.

How do I choose a desk?

First, define your needs and your budget. Figure out which type of desk better suits your preferences: Classic or Standing. Use our 3D configurator to adjust the measurements and choose the type of wood: solid wood or less expensive veneer. Before making a final decision, use our AR view to see how the desk looks in your home office.

How do I manage my desk cable?

As for cable management, we recommend adding a grommet to your desk top; this option is available in our desk configurator. To provide more functionality and ergonomics, you can use the Underdesk Organizer (sold separately).

What is a desk cable tray?

The Underdesk Organizer is a metal cable tray to attach under the tabletop. It helps you hide and organize all the cables, optimizing your desk organization.

What type of wood is best for a desk?

At Oakywood, we use oak and walnut, and we believe these types of wood are the best materials for a desk. Both of them are durable, sturdy, and damage-resistant.

Can I add grommets or cable cutouts to my desk?

Yes – you can configure your desk with grommets using the online configurator before checkout.

How do I care for and clean the wooden surface?

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners to preserve the oil-wax finish.
