Choosing the right desk height is crucial for maintaining an ergonomic workspace. Adjust your Classic Desk within the 68 cm to 80 cm range to find the position that best suits your height.

An ergonomic desk height ensures your elbows form a 90-degree angle, with your feet flat on the floor, which helps prevent strain and promotes good posture. To easily find your ideal desk height, try using this online desk height calculator.

The Oakywood Promise

For every product purchased, we plant a tree—supporting global reforestation efforts and giving back to the forests that inspire our work.

Design

Classic design

Drawing heavily from mid-century modern style, our Classic Wooden Desk’s design focuses on practicality and timelessness of form. Natural wax oil coating the tabletop gives the wood a matte finish without closing its pores. Its milled edges rounded with our custom cutter make the solid wood slab seem almost lightweight. Classic, turned table legs positioned at a 10,5-degree angle create a stable base for the whole desk.

Considerations

The desk is made of wood - it is a natural material which means some differences in colour and grain may occur. The oak, walnut, as well as oak and walnut veneer surfaces, are coated with natural oil wax from OSMO Topoil. It visually enhances the tabletop and makes it easy to refresh when needed. You can restore it by yourself using our wood maintenance kit. The black version is finished with stain and lacquer, which protect the wood’s natural color.

Solid wood tabletops are made up of individual planks, and each plank behaves slightly differently due to its inherent characteristics. Changes in temperature, humidity, and daily use cause the wood to expand and contract, which can sometimes result in minor cracks.
