Merino wool felt – as a natural material, merino wool felt yields a unique tactile experience. It is biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-flammable. Its breathable structure absorbs moisture without retaining odors. Here at Oakywood, we only use cruelty-free felt with a 100 OEKO-TEX certification, sourced in Germany.

Portuguese cork – a natural and ecological material harvested in a way which allows the tree to fully regenerate. The outer layer of the cork oak is safely removed and subsequently grows back.

The Felt&Cork Coasters help protect your desk or table from damage. Made from ecological merino wool, the felt is heat-resistant and moisture-absorbent – use it to hold your hot cup of coffee without worrying about damaging the surface or the coaster itself.

High-quality felt

The top layer of the coasters, made of the highest-grade merino wool felt has a 100 OEKO-TEX certification which means the material is safe, non-flammable, and non-toxic.

Ecological cork

The coasters’ bottom layer consists of biodegradable Portuguese cork sourced from sustainable plantations where it is harvested responsibly.

Effective heat insulation

Combining felt and cork means the coasters successfully protect tabletops (especially wooden surfaces) from high temperatures, allowing you to safely set a hot beverage on top.
