Solid oak wood – sourced in Poland, oak wood is sturdy, damage resistant, and exceptionally durable. The distinctive heaviness of the material is offset by its light color and prominent wood grain.

Solid walnut wood – American walnut wood is a durable, long lasting, and damage resistant material. Its unique, rich chocolate tone is complemented by a clear wood grain.

Black solid oak wood – sourced in Poland, oak wood is sturdy, damage resistant, and durable. The black stained surface adds to the heaviness of the material.

Powder coated steel – thanks to the surface covered with electrostatic paint powder, the steel becomes durable and resistant to corrosion, chemical or mechanical damage, and high temperatures.

Considerations

The desk is made of wood - it is a natural material which means there may be some differences in colour and grain. The oak, walnut, as well as oak and walnut veneer surfaces, are coated with natural oil wax from OSMO Topoil. This visually enhances the tabletop and makes it easy to refresh when needed. You can restore it by yourself using our wood maintenance kit. The black version is finished with stain and lacquer which protect the wood’s natural color.

Solid wood tabletops are made from singular planks of wood. Each of them behaves differently, due to its natural properties. Changes in temperature and moisture levels, as well as daily use, cause the wood to expand and shrink, which may sometimes cause small cracks.

Warranty

The Standing Desk Pro Mini is covered by a 5-year warranty*, with the following exceptions:
• Mechanical damage
• Chemical damage (e. g. nail polish stains, ammonia detergents, spilled liquids, etc.)
• Prolonged exposure to moisture
• Discoloration caused by sun exposure
• Accidents and using the product not as directed
• Intentional damage

The warranty covers the original buyer only - you must present a receipt or an invoice as proof of purchase to file a complaint.

FAQ

What’s the difference between solid wood and veneer?
Solid wood desks and accessories are made entirely from parts of a wood log, shaped, and assembled. That ensures durability and sturdiness. Veneer is a thin layer of wood adhered to plywood; it is a lighter and less expensive material than solid wood but also a bit more vulnerable to damage from scratches, heat, and moisture.
Does the desk set include the Underdesk Organizer?
The Underdesk Organizer is sold separately. You can install this accessory on both Oakywood’s desks and any other desk.
Do standing desks use a lot of electricity?
No. The average use of electricity for an electric Standing Desk is 150–200 watts to adjust the desk’s height, while on standby, it uses approx. 0.1 watts.
How do I choose a desk?
First, define your needs and your budget. Figure out which type of desk better suits your preferences: Classic or Standing. Use our 3D configurator to adjust the measurements and choose the type of wood: solid wood or less expensive veneer. Before making a final decision, use our AR view to see how the desk looks in your home office.
How do I manage my desk cable?
As for cable management, we recommend adding a grommet to your desk top; this option is available in our desk configurator. To provide more functionality and ergonomics, you can use the Underdesk Organizer (sold separately).
What type of wood is best for a desk?
At Oakywood, we use oak and walnut, and we believe these types of wood are the best materials for a desk. Both of them are durable, sturdy, and damage-resistant.
