The desk is made from natural wood so some variation in color and grain pattern may occur.
The wooden surface is treated with OSMO Topoil wax oil, maintaining its original color and texture. While this coating slightly reduces resistance to wear and tear when compared to varnish finishes, it offers the advantage of easy restoration. Choosing oil over varnish is more sustainable and leaves the wood with open pores, enhancing aesthetics and touch.
Clean when needed with a soft cloth along the grain pattern. After removing any abrasive dust particles, clean it with a moist cloth. Dry immediately with a soft cloth along the wood grains. If the wood looks dry or whitish, sand it with sandpaper (e.g. 240 grit), and then cover wood with any commercial wood oil. Transparent oil will work best. The desk is made of wood - it is a natural material which means some differences in colour and grain may occur. The oak, walnut, as well as oak and walnut veneer surfaces, are coated with natural oil wax from OSMO Topoil. It visually enhances the tabletop and makes it easy to refresh when needed. You can restore it by yourself using our wood maintenance kit. The black version is finished with stain and lacquer, which protect the wood’s natural color.
Solid wood tabletops are made up of individual planks, and each plank behaves slightly differently due to its inherent characteristics. Changes in temperature, humidity, and daily use cause the wood to expand and contract, which can sometimes result in minor cracks.

FAQ
Solid wood desks and accessories are made entirely from parts of a wood log, shaped, and assembled. That ensures durability and sturdiness. Veneer is a thin layer of wood adhered to plywood; it is a lighter and less expensive material than solid wood but also a bit more vulnerable to damage from scratches, heat, and moisture.
The Underdesk Organizer is sold separately. You can install this accessory on both Oakywood’s desks and any other desk.
No. The average use of electricity for an electric Standing Desk is 150–200 watts to adjust the desk’s height, while on standby, it uses approx. 0.1 watts.

As for cable management, we recommend adding a grommet to your desk top; this option is available in our desk configurator. To provide more functionality and ergonomics, you can use the Underdesk Organizer (sold separately).
